Sam McBrayer completed his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Baylor University, Ph.D. in cancer biology at Northwestern University, and postdoctoral fellowship in Bill Kaelin’s lab at Dana-Farber. Sam is currently an assistant professor and CPRIT Scholar in Cancer Research in the Children’s Research Institute, where his lab is focused on understanding metabolite signaling and metabolic vulnerabilities in physiology and disease. Sam has received several awards in recognition of his lab’s work, including a Sontag Foundation Distinguished Scientist Award and an Abeloff V Scholar Award from the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
